The Noruz Celeberation was held in Mumbai

The Noruz Celebration was held in Mumbai. Pursuant to an initiation  by the Iranian Consulate General in Mumbai, a very impressive ceremony for the first time held by the affaoresaid Consulate and association of the Iranian Culture House in Mumbai and the Indo-Iranian Friendship Society. In this gathering that more than 300 participants comprising Parsis, Zoroastrians , Iranian residents in India and other interested people were attended, the Consul General of the I.R. Iran in Mumbai delivered an address about the infuences of Noruz Celebrations to the Persian Literature.

He pointed out that Noruz celebration among Iranians as an old tradition has been also been cherished in Islam and its philosophy has had a direct impact to Iranian literature. He also talked about the different cultural capacities help the two countries of Iran and India to further improve their relations.

Mr. Mirzaei the director of the Iranian Culture House in Mumbai also cited some beautiful poets about spring and the New Year.

Mr. Minoo R. Shroff the President of Indo-Iran Friendship Society, Mr. Godrej N. Dotivala Secretary General from indo-Iran Friendship Society and also Mr. Ervad Ashpandia R. Dadachanji Head Priest from Vatcha Gandhi Fire Temple spoke about the commonalities on Noruz Celebrations between different cultures and welcomed the opportunity to have a gathering to celebrate the New Year.

This program continued with different entertaining programs performed by different groups form Iran and India.
